The girls first view of the ocean. Julia was drawn to it like a magnet. Riley was a little more reserved. But seeing the awe on their faces was totally neat!

Right about now Julias shoe got sucked off her foot in a wave and we had a few moments worry trying to get it back. I think it scared Riley. OK, it scared me a little bit, too. Not the shoe so much as the power of the waves. I forget that every single time.

We were cold and wet and Julia thought the ocean was a little messy but it was really an experience.
